In Nebraska, the day the circus comes to town is still a big day. The Ringling Brothers & Barnum Bailey circus was the highlight of the year for me growing up. We would all go to the circus together. We would watch in wonder at the bravery of the lion tamers and daring of acrobats. I remember being excited all day before we went and eating cotton candy while the family watched. The love of the circus has been passed down to the next generation and we still all go to the circus together. We are now three generations that love the circus, electric model trains, and toy soldiers.
