Pfalz D.III WW1 fighter from The Blue Max (02:36)
The Pfalz D.III was a German fighter aircraft first used in April 1917 during World War 1 and was generally a contemporary of the Albatros and Fokker fighters also being developed at that time. This aircraft is one of two Pfalz replicas that were built for the 1966 motion picture, 'The Blue Max'. The aircraft is wearing the spurious 7-colour lozenge colour scheme of the aircraft as it was filmed for the movie, rather than a more accurate 5-colour scheme.
