AMT Plastic Model kits are still available today and the quality and the detail is exemplified by the AMT innovative brand. The standard of quality and excitement is a standard for others to follow. The development of the one piece plastic body and the creators of the 3-in-1 customizing model kit sets AMT Plastic Models as the leader for other manufacturers of plastic models to follow.
Relive the golden age of modeling through AMT's huge variety of plastic model kits both in subject matter and scales. AMT's packaging techniques are the same as you remember them; labeling, packaging and graphics.
There are a variety of manufacturers of plastic models, Academy, Encore, Airfix, MPC, Meng, Minicraft, Squadron, to mention just a few but AMT has always been at the front of the pack with Plastic Models of funny cars, sports cars, sedans and semi-trucks. Remember the Dukes of Hazard,s 'The General'...AMT's Plastic Model kit was the one that everybody sought after.
Trains and Toy Soldiers is proud to offer AMT Plastic Model kits to collectors as well as model builders. A Midwest retailer offering a wide selection of AMT Plastic Model Kits brings back numerous memories of years gone by. Remember building cars and pickup trucks and placing them on your dresser or if you were fortunate to have a display shelf in your bedroom the Plastic Model Kit, now complete, was proudly displayed for all of your friends to see. Of course there were the Cars and Semi-Trucks that never earned the status of being displayed, they where sent to the Plastic Model Garage to be cut-up and modified into Funny Cars or ramp racers who competed against the neighborhood boys. No video games back than, just imagination.
