On this first day of September, we are getting excited about the upcoming Old Toy Soldier Show in Chicago. This always enjoyable chance to gather with our fellow toy soldier aficionados in the Windy City is in the shows 36th year. One of largest shows of its kind in the nation, this year marks the beginning of a new chapter in the event's history. The Garfield Family will be orchestrating the event this year, and we are confident that they will continue the tradition of excellence the show has always enjoyed.
While we have attend the show for many years, for the first time will have table our fellow military miniatures lovers to enjoy. We will have hollow cast toy soldiers from the early twentieth century, pre and post war items from W Britain, and some retired King and Country model vehicles along with many other exciting collectibles for you to purchase. Return to our blog later this month for a more detailed list of what we will be showcasing on Sunday. We plan to take time to admire the many other excellent tables on display.
Chicago has always held a special place in our family’s heart. This welcoming and exciting metropolis has been the destination for many a family trip. From opportunities to see the mighty Chicago Bears play football, to the classic majesty of Wrigley Field, to the world class shopping and dining experiences on Michigan Avenue, few cities anywhere in the world offer such expansive opportunities for fun and culture.
