The National Train Show® 2017

The National Train Show® for 2017 in Orlando, Florida, is rapidly approaching. August may seem like a long way off, but it's already mere months away! Mark August 4 to 6th on your calendar and make sure you have your accommodation booked while you can still get the best rates.

The National Train Show® was started in 1988 by the National Model Railway Association (NMRA) and have been increasing in popularity ever since. It is an exciting event that offers lots to see and do for everyone in the family, from the youngest engineer to the most serious collector. The show features a huge 180,000 square feet of exhibition space, hands-on demonstrations, 44,000 square feet of modular layouts, the best known manufacturers from around the world, plus an expert collectible appraiser to talk to.

You will find the very latest and most exciting model trains and accessories, collectibles from some of the biggest manufacturers and retail stores from around the world like Lionel, Micro-Trains and others. This spectacular show includes just about everything for anyone from the most experienced model railroad aficionados to those just starting out. Lego®MiniLand has to be one of the highlights of the show.

This huge 2500 square foot display is made entirely out of Lego® pieces, millions of them, and you can meet the people who built it to learn how to build your own. There is a free, chaperoned children's play area, so bring the kids and let them play safely while you spend some carefree grown-up time enjoying all the sights.

Admission is very reasonable. Adults get in for $14.00, while seniors 65 and over get a dollar off. Kids under 6 get in free, while youngsters from 6 to 12 pay are half price, and teens from 13 to 17 get in for only $10. You just can't find this much fun for so little anywhere else!
